THE STATEMENT TEE.

The graphic tee. We meet again. Slash did we really ever stop hanging out? Who am I kidding, I'm a long time fan.

Graphic tee's have been around forever. Surely I'm not the only one who remembers those mildly offensive and highly inappropriate t-shirts Supre stocked all those years ago. Awful.... just plain awful.

But they've since evolved, or at least we all have. And now it's all about vintage band tees (and well all other vintage tees), and making a bit of a statement. Much to my delight these statements have as of late been largely focused towards women power. And hey, a t-shirt is not going to solve everything and by no means should substitute real action to generate change. BUT a statement t-shirt can be, if nothing else, a conversation starter. And often thats where a real shift can take place.

Now, philosophical musings aside (for now). The statement tee is quickly becoming a wardrobe staple. Seen dressed up and down all over the place during various fashion weeks and on the street, it's probably a piece you already have hidden somewhere in your wardrobe. Or maybe in your boyfriends, or dads, or brothers.
