If you feel like everybody else is having a European summer except you, you’re not alone. I feel it too.
But what is almost good news is that Spring is only 25 days away, and more and more often we are getting these sneaky warmer days that occasionally trick us into believing the summer isn’t actually that far away (bad news….it still is pretty far away).
BUT I’ve decided to summer-fy my wardrobe a little bit on said unseasonably warm days so maybe.. just maybe… I can feel a little of those Euro summer vibes too.
3 WAYS TO INSTANTLY SUMMER-FY YOUR OUTFIT
1. Light, P(l)easant Whites
At a guess this trend will hang around for our actual summer too, so why not get in early? White in general seems to be an “I’m on vacay” favourite. So thus is stands to reason that a light, peasant style white top is probably one of the easiest and most affordable ways to make you feel like you’re on holiday. There is something about its equal parts Scandinavian milkmaid and Spanish señorita that just works. This pretty little number from REVOLVE stole my heart with it’s delicate frills but some of my other favourites can be found here, here and here.
2. Light Denim
Obviously denim is a year round staple, but in winter we are generally drawn to the darker washes in our wardrobe. But wearing light wash denim is a fail-safe way to feel a little more summery. So why not mix it up a little?
In other news, I am so excited to have finally found that perfect skinny leg jean, that actually still feels like denim. You guys are well acquainted with my love for vintage denim and a straight leg, mom-style cut. But as much as I love it, I have to say the mom-style cut I have come to adore so much does not always go with everything (despite me wanting it to).
If I’m not buying vintage denim, GRLFRND denim is always my go-to. They have some of the best cuts I’ve ever found, plus their denim actually feels and wears like denim (I don’t consider overly stretchy jeans actual denim). These GRLFRND jeans I’m wearing tick a lot of boxes for me.

3. A straw bag
Straw/wicker bags have quickly become a favourite amongst the fashion world. A simple, effortless and still practical way to add a little holiday luxe to your outfit. Pretend you’re on your way to some seaside soiree every time you pull something out of your handbag. This is one I picked up whilst in Bali, but if I was to get another (and believe me its not out the question), I would get one of these two (here and here).
