I’m not usually one for flowy/frilly tops. Baggy and oversize yes… but not so much in the frills department. It’s not that I’m particularly opposed, but more that I have a pretty set idea on what I will and won’t wear. And whilst this is a good thing in helping me build a timeless wardrobe where no piece goes unworn. It does, at times, prevent me from being adventurous.
But this time I branched out a little. I mean, still relatively neutral colours and everyones all time favourite print – the stripe. But still, something a little different with this top from Revolve. Although I have a certain affinity with baggy and oversize clothes, I decided to try something with a little more balance – fitted and structured up top, and free flowing on the bottom, my favourite feature of which being that no one will no what is hiding under there… Did Karissa just demolish another Soul Burger* feast… again? No one knows. Did Karissa and her husband just eat the entire vegan cheesecake she made for his birthday in one sitting…. No one knows…. Oh yes.. the magic of food baby illusions.
Food babies aside, I’m all about keeping things simple, even when making a statement. So pairing this number with a perfect pair of vintage-esque denim cut offs like these was a no-brainer.
