SUIT-ABILITY

Suiting is one of those things that has slowly crept into my wardrobe. It was something I seemed to shy away from for so long, for fear of it being too formal… to grown up… to….  professional….

But maybe I’ve changed, I mean I am approaching my 26th birthday in a couple of weeks (so old right?). Or perhaps it’s that suiting itself has broken through its own corporate glass ceiling to branch out into everyday wear. Or maybe.. we’ve both changed. Regardless of the intricacies of that matter, it would seem we’ve found each other and hopefully will/have become forever friends.

More and more I’m seeing refined, but edgy remakes of the classic tailored blazer/suit and boy does it make me excited for two reasons:

1. I love seeing everyday wardrobe staples re-invented both in how they are designed… and how they are worn.
I love seeing peoples constantly evolving creativity and ideas.

2. Suiting definitely falls into my effortlessly refined category of clothing. Comfortable to wear, easy to look “put-together” so to speak.

So no surprises that this little number from REVOLVE took my fancy. A classic pinstripe blazer re-invented with the corset detailing that no-one appears to be getting over anytime soon.

Styled up with a tailored pant, a skirt or pretty casual with jeans and sneakers (like me), it’s certainly a new favourite addition to the wardrobe.

TOP SALE PICKS

1. Vintage & repurposed denim perfection from RE/DONE
(these or these)

*PRO TIP – Given the nature of vintage denim, it has FAR less stretch than newer styles, so definitely recommend checking out the sizing information on the RE/DONE website. From experience, they run a little smaller than what your standard size might be *

2. This SHE MADE ME crochet one piece perfection

3. This incredible denim skirt (as seen on me here)

4. This must-have Dion Lee cami I’ve had my black one for 3 years now and have worn it to death. Such a timeless piece.

5. My Stella McCartney platforms or these killer sandals I wish I had
