ISLAND BEAUTY.

I'm the furthest thing from being any kind of make-up guru... I'm probably even the furthest thing from being any kind of person who has any kind of skills relating to make-up and its application.

Infact, only recently I sheepishly entered a mecca cosmetica store for the first time in my life and got a makeup 101 lesson in just a few essentials i.e. how to apply concealor (the right way). I guess growing up with only brothers, does have many perks, but make up education is not one of them.

So given all this, living the tropical island life, where makeup is almost non-essential, suits me almost perfectly. But despite my complete lack of skill, it's still nice to do a little something something to feel 'pretty', even when travelling.

My honeymoon 'beauty look' centred around salty hair, salty skin, and a vague scent of coconut oil at all times. when I put a little effort it, it also included creating a bronzed glow.

And these products were my go-to's, and if I can use them.... anyone can.

So here is my non-make up, make-up tutorial... Probably more like top tips for beauty looks/skin care whilst island hopping.

1. Light, but moisturising, tinted moisturiser. SPF necessary.

2. No mascara. Ever. well not if your like me and your spending more than 60% of your day in the water. It's not worth your time. Not even a little bit.

3. Eyebrows instead of eyes - it's no secret eyebrows are "in" right now (even though that feels really weird to say). But they really do have their part in 'making' a look.

4. Bronzer aka the all around multi-tasker. Contouring, cheeks, eyeshadow, whatever your heart so desires and wherever your brush may lead you.

5. Apply underneath a palm tree if possible.
